How to Install pylint software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

pylint software package provides python code static checker and UML diagram generator, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pylint

pylint is installed in your system.

Make ensure the pylint package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pylint *

You will get with pylint package name, version, architecture and description in a table
